"Yeah I did", Fred says, "and I think you both are full of dragon dung."
"No matter", says Grey Mouser, "People need to be informed of the impending war between these two dragons." "Its paranoia...nothing more." states Farfard. "QUIET!" Grey Mouser demands. "I've had quite enough of your condescending attitude towards me on this matter, Farfard!" "Bah!" grumbles Farfard. "Okay", says Fred, "I don't have time to listen to you two squabble over what might or might not happen...I have to be on my way." "Now hold on", says Grey Mouser, "Don't be so hasty. I assume your questing after The Great Dragon of the Southern Caves, right?" "Yes!" says Fred, "But how did you...?" "I know many things, my friend", says Grey Mouser, "I am a stealthy thief of many years...lets just say I overhear quite a few conversations myself." Fred checks his pack to make sure everything is still there and says "Great...a thief. Your parents must be proud." Farfard quickly snatches Fred up and holds him over his head. "One more insult from your mouth directed at my friend, hero, and I will throw your carcass into the chasm of the diamond mines at the other end of this corridor" says Farfard. "So that was the sound of metal hitting stone...diamond miners!" Fred thinks to himself. "Calm down, Farfard", says Grey Mouser, "I have had insults much worse than THAT thrown at me." Farfard places Fred back on the corridor floor. Grey Mouser reaches into his pack and pulls out a black stone with carvings in it. It is roughly the size of two fists held together. "You'll need this against the dragon." says Grey Mouser, "Its the ancient orb of Drago the dragon slayer of old. He used to wear it in a leather pouch tied around his waist. Its exact power is unknown to me...all I know is that the power of the orb makes itself known only in the presense of a dragon." Grey Mouser drops the stone into Freds hand. "Thanks." says Fred. "Don't mention it", says Grey Mouser, "Me and Farfard must be on our way. We are looking for clues to the whereabouts of the other dragon to try and stop this impending war." "Hogwash", mumbles Farfard. "QUIET!" shouts Grey Mouser. He then turns back to Fred and says "Good luck, Hero...maybe our paths will cross again." Grey Mouser and Farfard join hands and magically teleport away.
