Fred leaves the man well behind. His hearing, aided by years of sleeping
under the bed and in the closet (can't be monsters there if he was there)
allows him to hear the clang of battle. The barbarian seems to be doing
pretty good.

Fred runs on.

Fred goes back to aid him.

Suddently the dragon's head flies by on his left.

Suddently the barbarian's head flies by on his right.

Both the dragon and barbarian's heads collide with his buttocks, tripping him.

Fred trips a booby trap. Purely by luck, he escapes the fifteen spikes. But he is now suspended in mid-air, supported, trapped by the spikes.

Fred realizes the general blueness of the area is memory crystal; Fred's memories ovewhelm the area and he now sees the death of his third grade teacher Mrs. Adriana "Crazy Screamer" Butibital.
