She hoped that the insanity that was at large in Allaria might not have reached such a remote settlement as this, though if it was truly spread by this strange Eye in the sky then that might be a vain hope. Still, although the madness was very unsettling, even back at Camelyn it had not seemed to pose a direct threat to her, and she could surely handle a few dozen peasants, however odd they might turn out to be.
