The first thing they find is a skeleton. This is a bad omen. Alexis wants
to bury it right away.

Robert flings the skeleton into some quicksand that was ten feet into the jungle. "Problem solved!" he crows.

Astra and Alexis put their old shirts on.

This island is a dimensional nexus. They meet two semi-duplicate copies of their groups. (The only real difference is in one, Alexis is male and the other, Alexis had been born and stayed female).

A yellow and black mouse like thing runs up. In the style of lightning, but less powerful, Robert is blasted by the mousey thing.

Alexis makes a sandcastle.

Fred sees a castle down the beach. Only Robert sees it too, not the others.

They find a tribe of dozens of children. Fortunately, the island hosted enough food to keep the whole thing civilized. Except for the belching (the boys liked it).
