Vixxie felt confused. After joining with Lord Frederigo she had stayed
in her own world and spent three weeks rehearsing with the theater company.
Opening night had been a great success, and the backstage area had been
invaded by about half the audience (and a few gatecrashers), most of whom
were there to see her. She was finally a star! Her moment of triumph was however cut short when someone accidentally set fire to the set, and someone else trying to put it out had cast water on the cast. Fortunately the props were propped up in the back, where they were safe from fire, water and the other elements - except for that of surprise, which occured when somebody ran off with the princess' crown. (Not the real princess, the character Vixxie was playing.) All in all, the night's events lead to such a chaos that the theatre had to close for a week to rebuild the sets and repair sundry other damage, and Vixxie and the other actors found themselves with more free time on their paws (and various other parts of the body, but there is no need to get into that) than they had reckoned with. Feeling a sudden urge to get away from it all for a few days, Vixxie had contacted the house wizard and asked for help to get back to Fred's world. Of course the transition had the side effect of turning her back into Fred, and here he was. After some initial confusion Fred looked around and resisted the urge to wag his tail as he saw his old companions come drifting towards the shore he found himself standing on. Funny, they didn't look like they had spent several weeks at sea. Fred remembered something the wizard had told Vixxie about shifts in time. Unfortunately the vixen had been too busy grooming de tail to listen to blooming details.
