Too late, Astra realised that trusting Aloysius had been a big mistake.
She wondered whether he had been lying when he said that the effect of the
spell would wear off after a day or so. Was she going to spend the
foreseeable future trapped in a glass case, only three inches tall? Escape
looked impossible. The glass walls of the case extended to fully four
times her own height, and were far too smooth for there to be any hope of
scaling them. And the glass would surely be too thick for her to break.
"Let me out of here or you'll be sorry," she said, knowing in her heart that her threat was futile. Aloysius laughed evilly. "I don't think so," he said. "You'd better behave, if you want to get any food and water. Calling me 'Master' would be a good start."
