Tremors in the Force, Cause Unknown . . .

Hope our old Jedi isn't sleeping right now and doesn't mind midnight guests!!

As it stands . . .

"I've felt strange tremors in the Force, my old friend, and I was hoping that perhaps you had some ideas what caused them?"

I must say that I AM rather interested in finding the answer to that particular question! What with my former teacher being located now . . . in a place which allows for insight I might have difficultly in obtaining (safely), I opted in contacting him and asking directly. Whatever it was, even when it nearly practically bounced me out of a sound sleep and onto the floor besides my bed I found it had some kind of masking effect (for want of a better word) which made pinpointing the source difficult. After a few moments when I was able to attempt a better lock . . .

I found it well nigh impossible without danger. Indeed, even IF I was to expend the effort and time, I doubt that I would succeed, given the rather powerful nature of the masking!!

. . .

While I doubt even the Emperor (that damnable dark . . .er . . . that Sith Lord) could punch through it! Maybe Master Yoda, but . . . That said I would be foolish indeed for me to attempt it so it would not pay at all, after all these years of exile upon this desert planet, to reach too far out with the Force and draw attention to myself! My . . . . former apprentice and the Emperor would be able to detect me and home in on me, thus erasing the sole advantage I've gained in hiding.

It has been a long wait, awaiting for the time for Luke Skywalker to grow enough to adulthood so that I may . . .

Of course, my train of thought is interrupted when my old friend speaks.

"I . . . find that I cannot say exactly what it was," he hedges, looking a bit nervous for some odd reason (what did he see earlier to put him into this state, I wonder).

Later, I shall learn that there is this one young seeming woman who has a certain . . . quality to her that makes him, a spirit of a sort, nervous in the extreme. However, that is later.

A surprise comes my way first!

1. "However, as we speak they are . . . ," he continues, only to blink a little bit in surprise as a loud knocking sound emanates from my front door.
