As the shade of Betty watched, occasionally making comments which nobody
else could hear, the now naked Astra (she might be from a fantasy
universe, but the clothes that Betty had lent her were not, so the card
had not affected their size) told the boy: "It's too dangerous for someone
as young as you, even if you are a wizard in training. What other
of these magic cards do you have? Is there one which would send me home?
And how do I restore myself to my normal size?"
The boy dragged his eyes away from Astra and shuffled through his deck of cards.
