The transpiritation ritual did not take very long. When it was complete,
Amy experienced an instant of darkness and confusion, and then she found
herself looking up at Belboz from a slightly different viewpoint. She was
now in the late Princess Astra's body. Turning her head, she could see her
old body lying beside her on the table, now lifeless.
Her new body would have been highly attractive but for the bluish-white tinge to its skin. And there were other drawbacks. "I feel cold and rather stiff," she told Belboz, finding that even manipulating her tongue and lips to speak was a little difficult. "You're an animated corpse. What did you expect? The worst of the stiffness should soon wear off, though. Now you'll need a weapon, something really powerful." "And clothes."
