Seriously now...

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 58117

Sigin

It seems that the more efforts we make to sort things out, the more transformed and displaced young women we finish up having to deal with!

So VERY true, that statement alas! Thus this ad hoc meeting we are having with some of those very same displaced young women! We are hoping to find out what they want to do before we go haring off to yet another reality.

Who knows? Perhaps they (these particular bawdy girls before me) might wish to settle down here on Terra Prime and put down roots? Myself, I'd found the place a bit . . . disconcerting with everything that has happened to her (turned almost upside down STILL after all this time with what all has befallen her), but it has SO much charm . . . truthfully.

"Before we go any further I must admit to being curious about something," the one young girl we shall call (for now) Fred/Fifi. "I admit that at first I and my 'associate' here were a little . . . less than ourselves when we first met (re: 51332) . . ."

That was the understatement of the year!

"Thank you very much with putting us to right," Belboz/Bambi adds from the side, putting in a LOT of sincerity into that thanks.

They should be thankful, being that if not for us . . .

Ah, but that is what we do and it is the right thing to do, even if up until now they'd been rather tardy in their thanks! Not that things had not been busy here of late, but still...

Honestly!

Sigh, I guess the fact of almost all of us here in this mage tower being non-human must have put them off? I do recall that many Allarias out in the multi-verse (like my own homeworld) had been somewhat human-centric...

. . .

At least they got over it enough (whatever it is) to get around to thanks. Not like I'm out to cover myself in glory and well wishes, but then again there is such a thing as GOOD manners, right?

Fred/Fifi adds her thanks, blinking and if I am a judge chastising herself for letting such matters slip by, then continues.

"But for the sake of argument we do manage to find our way back home with your help," she sighs. "What could we do to these rampaging Amazons you told us of in these bodies?!"

Fertal 5

I give off a slight snort at that one, drawing a slight glare from the bawdy girls for that.

Oh please! If nothing ELSE after we had already revealed to them the prophecy of the Two Girls to them ("A great man of warrior class, who wears the form of a lithesome lass. A Necromancer, in similar skin, Will help the Warrior Lass to win.") AND told them what their analogs had become (re: 8964 and 9498) . . .

. . .

To be blunt, if nothing else by benefits of strength of arm alone they have NOW?! Well...

"Ah, pardon me for that but to be brutally honest," I explain patiently. "You had as much chance at stopping them now as bawdy girls--as it were--as back opposed as young peasent seeming girls! What after that treacherous apprentice of Belboz had robbed the necromancer here of her magical might and all that. . . . .

Sometimes blunt truth works best in situations like this. Snaps them out of the funk that they'd fallen into which I can see has SURELY blinded them to the obvious solution to their prediciment!

I finish up by softly pointing out that IF Belboz (before his transformation) could change her and Fred/Fifi (must ask them to come up with some appropriate names for themselves!) then IF we get back to their world (with some input from THEM if nothing else) WE could use our skills to change them into something that . . .

Could cast magic in Belboz/Bambi's case at least . . . don't know just HOW in the hey a lithsome lass (short of some rather underhanded poisoning or something equally as dishonorable) could put a stop to this army!! I mean warrior spirit is good and all that but . . . .please!

Well, at least we got them thinking (or at least I surprised them) by the way their eyes are blinking . . .

And . . . if nothing else if we go on this trip, the mage types might FINALLY be able to learn enough about Matrixes on to be able to cure some of those more vexing Matrix based transformation curses on their OWN (like lycanthropy) . . .

  1. Not like we can find a Crystallic under any and every rock and stone out there.... But it remains to be seen in what these two want to do (and THEN what those others want once we get them fixed)....
