Lots, Reaibn, and Ben walk up on Josh, who looks like he has had a rough
day. "Hey bud!" says Ben, and they all pull out collapsible chairs and have
a seat. They appear to be discussing the situation*. "anyway," continues
Ben "I was just about to sip my beverage at the Starbucks at the end of the
Multiverse when bam! everything goes away and its all 'OUT OF MEMORY' and
all that rot." "I was in the Multiversal Mall" says Reaibn. "Lots and I were in Louis Legacy Longbows scoping out some sweet new models when poof here we are. What about you, Josh?" asks Reaibn. Now, everyone is looking at Josh waiting for his reply. "Staircase," mutters Josh. "and can I get a chair?" the others produce a chair for Josh, and he sits down. "So, has this happened before?" "Are you kidding?" asks Lots "This happens every few hundred years. The powers that be won't upgrade storage on the Space-Time Continuum so it has to be formatted periodically. Those of us who are Chaos focal points or Authors are protected. I guarantee Scott is around here somewhere. Everyone else just reappears when it resets." "You can never tell how long it will take, though," says Ben, shaking his head. "Remember back a few aeons ago when Reaibn and us waited so long that we started to believe were were hat racks? That was nuts. " "You were hat racks" said Lots, provoking a middle finger from Reaibn. "No, we weren't. I am telling you. We weren't. " says Reaibn, then waves his hand irritably. "Anyway, this could be a while. Now, we can form things from the void, but we cannot attempt to form reality. If we use our Author powers to try to form reality itself, then it upsets the formatting process. We tried that once... " "Can we not talk about that?" snaps Ben. "Josh, buddy, the choice is yours. We are going to sit here and shoot the sh*t about old times. You can either stay with us, or go wondering around yourself. Maybe you will find Scott." What does Josh decide?
