Astra's Illusionary Transformation

It was Cedric The Elder who first noticed the changes to Astra, as he was
sneaking furtive peeks at her during dinner. He gave an involuntary gasp
as Astra's hair changed from its fiery red to raven black and her garment
turned from black to a bright, almost blinding red. To top it all off, her
face turned to a brown normally seen resident on a chestnut. Cedric the Elder needed no excuse to continue staring, while Cedric the Younger felt embarrassed by doing so. Flushing almost as red as Astra's garment, he turned and noticed that Fred was staring daggers at Ambaric, with Ambaric unable to meet his gaze. He tried to get Ambaric's attention as there was something going on here that perked up his interest enough to override his awkward feeling. Ambaric noticed his raised eyebrow, and felt it necessary to explain all. Even if the Allarian knight didn't like it, he felt he couldn't be made to feel any worse. However, before he could start, Astra startled him with her reaction as she finally worked out why Cedric the Elder was staring at her. In short, she found herself almost unable to avoid screaming. Of course, this reaction made Fred all the more het up. He got up out of his chair and left the room, feeling he would otherwise do something he would probably later regret. Or attempt to, he amended. Astra followed him out, glad to get away from Cedric the Elder's gaze, which was making her feel uneasy.
