A Wet Night

They were too wet and uncomfortable to get much in the way of sleep. Eventually, towards dawn, the rain eased off and then stopped. The clouds began to break, and soon the scene was illuminated by the first rays of the rising sun.

1. Unfortunately they had forgotten to close the waterproof lid of the chest holding the supplies, as a result of which many items were ruined. Tired and irritable after a night of little sleep, they argued about whose fault it was.
2. Luckily they had remembered to close the waterproof lid of the chest holding the supplies.
3. Astra's and Exotica's clothing was still sopping wet, and as a consequence was clingy and semi-transparent. Velus reflected that every cloud had a silver lining. (Fred was too noble for such thoughts.)
