It was night time and the horse which was formerly a flea had went to
sleep. While the horse was sleeping, Fred the Flea stayed awake and
continued to suck the blood from his host. Fred began thinking again about what a terrible life he had, and kept wondering how he had been downgraded from a valient knight to a miserable blood sucking insect when his flea senses began telling him something. Yes a flea has very little need for sight but a flea has a wonderful sense of smell especially to detect carbon dioxide from a suitable host. Amazingly Fred smelled carbon dioxide and his flea brain knew that it meant there was another animal near. Unfortunately for Fred it was a couple of feet drop from the horse to get to the new host but Fred knew he had to try if just to add a little excitement in his life. Fred the flea then leaped. Now imagine for a second a human being jumping off a 30 story building because this is exactly the way it felt for Fred as he fell, but with his new body this was one of the funnest experiences of his life (either as a flea, centaur, or human) Luckily Fred landed directly on the back of his target... a large black rat. Fortunately for Fred he was an oriental rat flea so even though being on a rat's back may sound even worse then being on a nice horse's rear end it was the perfect habitat for Fred.
