"Listen I am having financial problems to pay for all of the magical ingredients I need to stay in business. Unfortunately, a magician like me can't just conjure up some money any time they need it. It's illegal. Fortunately, I have made you an amazing racehorse, and since you have human intelligence for the next few days it may help you win every race you'd run in the mean time. If you are willing to win a few races for me and get my money situation settled for a few more years I am willing to at the very least make you become a centaur again. Who knows do well enough and I might make you a human again...

Or you could just spend the rest of your life eating grass and swatting flies with your tail anyway. Your choice.
