Fred doubted the sanity of his new companion. She hadn't mentioned meeting the dragon, so how could retracing her steps lead her to him? (He hadn't noticed for the moment the further point that she had said "dragons", plural.)

"What do you mean?" he asked. "You haven't met the dragon, have you? So how could you know where he is?"

"Dragons. There's more than one of them...

  1. "And yes, I've met them."
  2. "As well as my other talents, I'm gifted with second sight. And that has told me where they are."
  3. "Sorry. I just felt that a moment of high drama was called for."
  4. "As for how I know where they are..."
