The Never Ending Quest - Episode 56496

The truck with the tree had almost reached Sharon's home when Rick had to stop to let a long row of pre-school children cross the road. What was this, an excursion on Christmas Day?

"So, uh, how does this magic work anyway?" Jim asked mostly to make conversation. It beat counting the children anyway.

"Pretty automatic," Rick replied. "Or should I perhaps say automagic, haha! My orders are to place the tree on the doorstep, help you into it, ring the doorbell and stick the card in your beak when you're done transforming."

"So a person will be transformed just by climbing into the tree then?" Jim asked nervously.

"Sounds like it. Why do you ask?"

"Well, if that's how the magic works we'd better get that kid off your truck before he gets too close to the tree!!"

  1. Too late, the curious kid gets into the tree even as they are getting out of the truck.
  2. The kid gets into the tree but doesn't get transformed. Something else happens, though...
  3. They manage to keep the kid out of the tree but one of them gets too close himself.
  4. Danger averted, proceed as planned.
