She did not seem in the least put out by a man entering the ladies' room and finding her naked. "Hello," she said. "You wouldn't happen to have any gold dust on you, would you? This pot probably isn't going to be enough."

Josh saw that next to Astra there were two large pots. One was about three-quarters full of gold dust. The other contained what appeared to be some sort of glue, presumably so that she could make the gold dust stick to her skin.

"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid that I seem to be right out of gold dust," Josh replied.

"That's a pity. Oh well, at least you can help me do my back. I can't reach there."

"Er, why exactly are you coating yourself with the stuff?"

1. "Because if I don't then Auric Goldfinger is going to have me killed."
2. "Because if I don't then the Dragon is going to have me killed."
3. "Because it is said to act as a powerful magic charm. Once I'm completely covered, I should be able to wish myself back home."

5. "It's my costume." "Costume for what?" "For the fancy dress party."
6. She giggled. "Because it's pretty, silly." Josh realised that she was as high as a kite.
