Exotica and Fred Recount Their Stories

"First, I am going to ask you both to tell me everything that you remember about your respective dreams. If the Princess would care to go first." So Exotica told the story of her dream, which seemed to be in total agreement with Fred's in its latter part [see episode 90 onwards]. Before meeting Fred, she had ventured into the caverns in an attempt to free the townspeople from their curse, but the dragon had caught her. He had magically replaced her voice by the quack of a duck so that she could no longer say any of the magic spells that she knew, then chained her naked to the wall where Fred had found her soon afterwards.

"I didn't realise that you knew any magic," said her father when she had finished her tale. "Well, I don't, but I did in my dream. Strangely, I feel now that I can almost remember the spells that I thought I knew then."

Then Fred told his story, which agreed with Exotica's in every detail. Whilst she had told her story without the slightest trace of embarrassment, Fred found himself blushing as he described how he had found her naked and chained. "Don't worry," Exotica told him. "It was hardly your fault. And anyway it doesn't bother me in the slightest." The princess was a very formidable young woman, Fred thought to himself.

The magician went on to the next stage of his examination:

1. Which involved hypnotising them both, to see if they could recall anything more.
2. Which involved carrying out magical tests on them.
3. It involved a spell that revealed one of the four people in the room was the dragon!
