While keeping his hands near his sheathe incase things went amiss, he
quietly sneaked up a tad closer to the humanoid and said "Hello there".
The blue humanoid's body jerked in shock. The tool it’d been working with
flew out of its hands and pierced one of the pipes surrounding the room,
causing hot steam to spurt out of the tube. Fred had only been about two
yards away from the steam, and despite his distance, the heat of the gas
was causing sweat to pour down his skin ceaselessly. Apparently, thick
moisture wasn’t the only thing stuck inside those pipes.
The humanoid turned around and stared at Fred with large, fish-like eyes. The humanoid’s face would have probably passed for a human’s face if it weren’t for its light-blue painted skin, small openings in its cheeks, and smaller than usual nose nostrils, which seem to be equipped with a flap for each nostril which could cover them if wanted. Otherwise, its face was a mirror image of yours or mine. Fred waited for about a minute for the creature to react or say something, but it just stood their, staring at him with its large, unmoving, and unblinking eyes. “Err, can you speak?” asked Fred, in another attempt to communicate. The humanoid opened its mouth, and blurted out “words” if you call them, which sounded something like this: jieakjdklgadeoidoigalkekl iofdiekla dkfjoieapq ^^ “kjqm biwwaa bbndsa jeioy aygoiapqupq ljb eneadmg eiioeoiuoiquoiejroiqhgoi mvkdivmidoelkqhl a;dohqio^^fd nbb.”Even after all of this, the humanoid continued to speak, and quickly too. Very quickly. The humanoid seemed to have had the ability to speak five times faster than even the most skilled chatter-mouth human. “Err…OK. I’ll just be going then” Fred said, turning his back and starting back towards the well bucket. This humanoid didn’t seem dangerous at all, but he just didn’t feel comfortable searching the area with those big, fish-eyes staring at him.
