The Never Ending Quest - Episode 55559

In one of the shelters Fred comes upon a dinner table laid for five people. As he enters the room he accidentally trips over the head of a polar bear skin laid out on the floor, so it takes a moment before he notices the large bowl of cold mulligatawny soup standing on the table.

To his speakable horror he finds the severed head of Josh Burbank floating in the soup, quoting random lines from the Freddie Frinton sketch Dinner for one. Curiously enough it is quoting Miss Sophie's lines rather than James', and it's doing it with the voice of May Warden. Spooky.

"Same procedure as every year, James."

"I think we'll have sherry with the soup."

and of course

"I'm particularly fond of mulligatawny soup."

  1. Really really hungry, Fred eats the soup.
  2. Totally disgusted, Fred pushes the head into the soup, trying to drown it or at least the voice.
  3. Nonchalantly Fred remarks "Now there is something you don't see every day,"
  4. Fred realizes that it doesn't matter what he says, the head can't hear him because it has soup in its ears.
  5. Scott Chen enters in drag.
