"Ensign Barry's personal log, supplemental. We've been encouraged to make
more log entries then normal, considering how recent trans temporal
entries have literally interfered with past log entries and visual
recordings. It's quite intense, really, as I've explained in past entries. Us...human Voyager crew are not in our home universe. Fortunately, we have several promising leads on how to get back, due to our very quantum nature. The universe we are in now has half-animal analogues of us. We've been trained by Starfleet to deal with doubles, of good and ill will, thanks to Captain Kirk's many trips throughout aspects of reality. And to think, my Grandmother served on his ship. Anyway, I'm just glad my double is mixed up with a brown-furred Trifiean tree-dog and not one of those eight-legged scaly things that I kept finding on my bed as a kid. I know, I know, Starfleet teaches us respect for all life but Admiral Chekov never had to deal with, eight-legged thingers crawling on his face. Don't get me started. I look human, I know, but I'm a Forian, I have four hearts, three lungs and an alternate brain. The differences are easy to spot, such as the pronounced eye-socket ridges...but, never mind. Counseler Troi said they mean no harm... Well, anyways, considering Admiral Chekov also served with Kirk, maybe he did get attacked by huge spider beasties. Still. Am just glad all our doubles are...well, cute. I'm not ever telling Ensign McCoy but I just want to tackle hug his blue-furred, big-snouted double. I'm surprised McCoy can maintain shuttles with such huge dinner-plate paws. Blue fur. I didn't think that was natural. Well, I ...ack!" What has made Ensign Barry yell out?
