Astra's Death
The Never Ending Quest - Episode 5502

They had not found the entrance where they had thought it should be. They
turned and looked in a different direction, it was not there either. They
chose a third route and then a fourth and then a fifth. They were utterly
lost. At that point Fred looked at the lavaman who had now cooled to a
warm mudrock.
"You're made of dirt, you are made of this damned mountain, don't you know where the entrance is?" "Yes," answered the lavaman. Velus barked in annoyance, Fred growled, Astra glared. "Why you little---" yelled Fred, but was cut off by a blinding light. Velus yelped and ran away while Fred and Astra shielded their eyes. The lavaman did neither as light did not affect his senses. The lavaman saw with interest a hooded figure step out of the light holding a sharp knife. As he was a creature of lava and rock, of dirt and sand, he did not realize the significance of this until too late. The hooded figure darted towards the blinded Astra with a ferocious speed and slashed at her throat - a spray of hot blood gushed forth, the amazed amazon instinctively clutching her throat. Her eyes winced for the bright light had not faded, she saw but blurrily her attacker - a hooded form with knife unsheathed, dripping blood, her blood. Astra fell to the floor fo the cavern, dead. Then the hooded killer stepped back into the light and the light faded from existence. "What the HELL?!!?" screamed Fred as he rushed to Astra's body.
