Astra's Cat Instincts Betray Her

Astra wasn't sure whether being a purple, but at least full-sized, panther
was better or worse than being a mouse-sized human. But her reflections on
this were abruptly terminated when Velus, still in his dog form, found
Fred and herself.
Astra couldn't help herself. A red mist seemed to envelop her. She growled, and set off after Velus. He fled down the nearest tunnel, with Astra in hot pursuit. Astra was much the faster, and soon she caught his tail in her jaws. Velus managed to yank free, losing a lot of hair in the process. Luckily there was the entrance to another tunnel nearby, one that was too small for Astra to enter, and he disappeared down that before she could grab him again. The red mist faded from Astra's mind. She shook her head sadly. What a terrible thing to have done. Poor Velus!
