Like a Surge in the Ocean He Danced

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 53941

Josh bumbles his way into their midst and starts shaking his hips like Elvis (after Elvis took a dozen sleep pills) -- which is to say, he looks like some kind of blundering doped up idiot. Next he starts waving his arms around in a wild and unstructured fashion, like all the cool kids in Argentina do when they're drunk. This dance eventually evolves into some kind of lame, distorted version of the 'funky chicken'.

The crowd grunts disapprovingly and begins throwing pencils at him.

"Great!" he trumpets brazenly. He cuts the dance short and with a very dramatic sweep of his arms he bows and says, "My name is Josh."

The crowd errupts into an uproar of obscenities and, you got it, disapproving grunts.

"Please, let's not jump to conclusions!" Josh's cry rings out, somehow audible above all the grumbling and grunting and whatnot. "All I ask for is three minutes of your time! Three minutes! Won't you please allow me to at least explain my actions?"

This seems to srike some sort of logical chord with the crowd, and they allow him his three precious minutes.

Josh uses his three minutes to...

  1. Explain his important political views in a very organized and logical fashion.
  2. Break into the stand-up routine he'd been practicing for five years.
  3. Make monkey sounds and jump on one foot.
  4. Stare ahead blankly for two minutes and forty-nine seconds before finally deciding to just run away.
  5. Share his views on Star Trek.
  6. Share his views on dolphins.
  7. Continue dancing like a complete idiot.
  8. Make fun of the audience and their hairy nipples.
  9. Recite poetry he'd written when he was 14.
  10. Try and figure out a way to get another three minutes of their undivided attention.
