The two rummaged around the kitchen, looking for a doorway leading to some
other room, but alas, they fail. But doorways aren’t the only way out of rooms. "It's useless" says Fred, gloomily. "This place is a dead end. Come on princess. Let's get out of here and get across the lodge that way I suggested."Astra gave one more envious look at the uniforms, and then Fred and she proceeded to the exit. Right before they are out, a familiar voice makes them jump. "Trivi! Allav! I've got an important order ready. Can you bring it over to the lift?" Glazi turned around and was now holding an enormous tray carrying a pig head surrounded by the spicy potatoes [53641]. Glazi then opened a cupboard above her and began feeling around the sides for a few seconds before Fred and Astra heard a soft noise behind them.One of the walls in the far end of the room had now disappeared, reveling a small, square, hole, not much larger than the average dog door. Fred and Astra (Who just remembered to take the tray from Glazi) hurried over and examined the hole. Inside the hole, a dark yet surprisingly, well kept hallway came into view. Not mouse or cobweb could be seen. The hallway was quite a bit larger. An average sized man could enter the room and feel perfectly comfortable.”An average-sized man.”The words echoed through Fred’s mind. “This is it” he whispered to Astra. “This is our way out.” ”I suppose it’s our only option” she answered.”The two quietly crawled through the small hole and found a small lift beside a wall to the right. It looked like it had been made specifically for the tray they were holding, but it could probably carry them up one at a time if they wished. ”Let’s continue through the hallway” stated Fred, noticing Astra examining the lift with great interest, but Astra didn’t move.“I think it would be much wiser to take the lift up. Remember, she said that this was an important order, most likely a meal for some of the top troops, which would be near the dragon” she ended, with a hint of triumph in her voice. ”Yet, if what you said is correct, chances are the top troops are sitting up their, waiting for this lift to bring their meal up. That’d be like walking into the room from the main door and greeting them. I know you wouldn’t mind a fight, but we’d stand no chance against several of his top troops”.”Do you think I haven’t thought of that?” she answered. “But walking into a dark tunnel with no idea where we’re going or what’s in there wouldn’t do us much better. For all we know, it might lead us farther away from the dragon.” Once again, the two argued about what to do, and then quickly came up with a decision.
