The Other Door Already

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 53839

The other door opens into a room about thirty feet square.
A ten foot gap is in the middle. There is an extenable ladder on this side. On the other side are two people. A woman dressed in thigh high white boots and skimpy blue clothing. The man is dressed in glaring, clashing colors and stripes. He has shaggy hair, squinty eyes and a remakably bad set of teeth.
However, what draws Fred's attention is what is in the middle of the gap. Five feet down, lava! There is the shimmer of green, which indicates, of course, powerful anti-heat spell. But it would do nothing to stop any burning if the lava touches flesh.
"Help us, mister!" says the woman. "Extend the ladder over!"
"Oh, yes, please do!" said the man. He has an odd accent that Fred had never heard before.
"How do I know you won't hurt me?" said Fred.
"Um." said the woman. "Because you will have saved our lives?"

  1. Fred helps them.
  2. Fred tosses the ladder over and leaves. They can help themselves.
  3. The man grows frustrated and tries to leap across. He fails and is burninated to a crisp.
  4. Fred does a little dance.
  5. Same as #2 but the ladder falls into the lava and burns. Oooops!
