A soda each day keeps the grim reaper at bay

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 53582

Fred shrugs and gives the old man a dollar. He wouldn't be able to enjoy a 100 dollar soda while watching an old man die anyway. To his surprise the old man walks over to the machine and inserts the coin. There is a rumble, a clank, and out pops a bottle of soda.

"What manner of sorcery is this?" Fred stammers.

"It's my medicine," the old man explains as he takes a large swig of the bottle. "I'm so screwed up inside I need sugar and carbondioxide to live!"

"Yes, but you only inserted a dollar..."

"Oh that," the old man smirks...

  1. "It's just one dollar for the bottle actually. It used to say 1.00 but I scratched out the decimal point to discourage others from buying."
  2. "I already inserted 99 dollars earlier, then accidentally dropped the last coin, and before I could bend over to pick it up a crab ran off with it."
  3. "That is not a dollar. This is a dollar!"
