An Unwelcome Side Effect

"I have?" Astra says. She is shocked at how deep her voice sounds. She removes one arm from under the blankets and looks at it. It is very muscular and very hairy. "I see that I'm still a redhead," she says.

She sits up, letting the blankets slide down to reveal a broad and equally hairy chest bursting out of her improvised tunic. But immediately a wave of dizziness overtakes her and she has to lie down again. "I feel terrible," she tells Fred. "If it's going to be like this every time that the moon is full, then maybe I would have been better off as a werewolf."

"I didn't know that sickness could be a side effect. The book didn't mention it. Maybe it's just that you need to eat? Even though you were a tall woman, your body is considerably bigger as a man, so it probably needs more food."

1. "All right. Though I don't know if I'll be able to keep the food down."
2. "I feel much too ill to eat. I'll just have to hope that the dizziness and nausea wear off."
