The Road of Old Borlox

Fred gasps in recognition: "Why it's Old Borlox! The path-finder!"

"Yes" replies Velus, "and he can give us our freedom"

Velus speaks the magic word "Codswallop!" and activates the pokemon. What begins as a nondescript gray ball is transformed into a wizened little man with wispy hair and a pointed head. It wears a gray robe and holds a staff.

But it's blue.

"Old Borlox you have woken!" the pokemon says grumpily. "Bloody good the reason better be!"

"Old Borlox you must help us." Fred replies "I am Sir Fred and this is my companion Velus -"

"Up shut will you! Damn well know who you are!" Old Borlox interjects testily, "also why summon me you have. Complete Moron do you take me for?"

Before Fred can speak again Old Borlox strikes the ground in front of him with his little staff. Immediately a violet light starts to snake out from the staff's tip; this grows steadily wider as the end leaves the ground, writhing through the air as if alive. Before long it has turned into a glowing purple pathway which seems to ignore the laws of space - it passes through the bars of the cell as if they weren't there. It appears to lead into an almost blinding light.

"The Road of Old Borlox!" Fred and Velus mutter in awestruck unision.

"Bony white asses, bet your!" the pokemon chuckles.

"But where will it take us?" queries Velus.

"Wherever it . . .err . . .TO . . .you . . want . . ." Old Borlox trails off uncertainly, as if realising for the first time that it wasn't always easy speaking so that all your sentences end in a verb.

"Then" announces Fred, "let it take us to . . ."

1. . . . the dragon's lair!"
2. . . . the forge of Figdos the wizard-smith. He can forge me some enchanted armour!"
3. . . . the nearest Pokemon shop. Let's stock up!"
