The first thing you remember is the bright winter sunrise hitting you in
the face like a bucket of water taken straight from the river, the river
on which you now found yourself, inside a garbage scow full of the
stinking detritus of whatever city that was over on the other side of the
bay. The second thing you remember is the creeping realisation that you were covered in newly-dried blood, and that from your current physical state it seemed reasonable to assume that it wasn't yours.
