Astra's Horns
The Never Ending Quest - Episode 52894

Astra shook her head to clear it. She found that she had been transported
into a room that seemed to be in good condition. Whether it was part of
the palace buried under the sands that they had discovered or was
somewhere else she did not know. Before leaving the room in search of
Fred, she examined the unusual statues that it contained. These were
finely crafted life-size figures of women with the heads of cows, or
perhaps - judging by the size of the horns - of bulls. Female minotaurs,
in other words.
In spite of the quality of the workmanship, Astra found that for some reason she found looking at them rather unsettling. She was on the point of exiting the room and going to look for Fred, when she felt a sharp pain on either side of her forehead, just above the hairline. Feeling with her hands, she detected a lump located at each painful spot, and the lumps were rapidly growing larger. Also they increasingly felt like they were made of some hard material rather than covered in skin. I'm growing horns! she realised. I must be turning into a minotaur like the women in those statues. She ran out of the room, in the hope that whatever magic was causing this was located there and that the changes would stop once she was outside.
