The boxy thing had pictograms displaying the correct usage.
"Yello!" Fred said. This was not because of the pictograms, it was just natural across-the-dimensions magic for jerks to say 'Yello' when recieving an audio message.
The person on the other phone was Velus, the transformed farmhand. (Fred had seen a Wanted poster on the dungeon wall, about how the now-dog was formenting rebellion against the dragon).
Due to the natural magics surrounding Belboz, Fred could understand the barking. What did Velus want?

  1. To tell Fred how to defeat Belboz.
  2. To go halfsies on pizza.
  3. To know what Fred is wearing (Velus thought Fred was Astra).
  4. To tell Fred how to defeat King Emry's one-winged form.
  5. To belch wildly.
