"What confusion?"

"Well, for starters, you don't love me. I have mistakenly consumed some fruit that causes you to like me. It isn't real."

Melissa is confused. The man of her dreams walked in, and now he doesn't want her. She must have come on far too quickly.

Fred turns and walks out the door and down the road he was going down at first. He hears a noise behind him. It is Melissa, much more fully clothed coming after him. "I'm sorry I offended you. How rude of me. Let me cook you something. You must let me make it up to you and prove to you that I am not what you thought I am."

She has a point. But, then, the berries must be working. Another young lady comes up to them.

"So, Melissa, who is your friend?"

1. Fred introduces himself as a gentleman.
2. Fred bolts away from the temptation.
