Fred was astonished by Karnbald's news of Tarsa. His prediction that she
would be out of her depth seemed to be very wide of the mark. And the girl
had only been in Setrial a matter of hours. How had she achieved such
eminence so quickly? Unless...? He clutched at a straw. Could there by any
chance be another Tarsa in the city?
"This Tarsa wouldn't be a small, dark-haired girl?" he asked, hoping that the answer would be "no". But his hope was dashed. "That sounds like her," Karnbald said. "She is under an enchantment," Sharon put in. "She is rightfully a priestess at the Temple of Granas, back in Templeton. We desperately need her back. You must capture her for us." Karnbald burst out laughing. "Capture the leader of the Assassins' Guild? You're joking, aren't you?" Eventually Fred and Sharon convinced him that they were serious.
