Fred gasps in confusion and amazement. This Belboz person had just changed him to an oriental! Fred now wore treated-bamboo armor, thick leather boots and a black body stocking. He carried a six-foot long pike. The blade at the tip would put to shame any sword.

Fred was puzzled. Why would Belboz have changed him into one of the soilders oriental units used to disable calvary and their horses? He asked the magician such.

Belboz looks at Fred.

  1. "So you can infiltrate the dragon's men! Don't you know he uses orientals? What is with you?"
  2. "I don't know why. I just did."
  3. Belboz explains why he did what he just did.
