Belboz's Monstrous Scheme

"Now don't be getting any fool ideas, woman." Belboz said. "We have enough mouths to feed as is. Help me hold her down while I saw through her neck now."

"What?!" Amy squeaked, but the undead woman grabbed her arms in such a strong grip Amy could hardly move.

"If you squirm about, you will only make it harder for yourself." Belboz said, padding over to Amy and grabbing her by the throat. "Don't worry, this won't hurt a bit, I promise."

Within minutes, the heavy iron collar fell to the ground. Belboz and his wife released her. "There, all done." Belboz cackled.

"I thought..." Amy sobbed, rubbing her sore neck through the fur. "You..."

"Thought I was going to hack you headless and make you one of my minions, eh? Well, I'm not Drakenrot. Truth be told, in my younger days I'd have done it without a second thought. Imagine, a ratgirl zombie assassin in my service, and a headless one to boot! I would've been the envy of all my peers. But those days are long gone. Amassing an army and taking over kingdoms is no fun for an old man such as I. I'm just happy to spend my last days in peace with Jessica here."

Belboz kissed Jessica tenderly, locking lips with her for several minutes. Amy wondered if she should flee in the meanwhile. But eventually Belboz turned back to her and smiled. "Now I suppose you would ask for a wish of me? Very well. Ask for your favor. But only one. No more will I do, no matter how much you beg or haunt me."
