Astra rode "pillion" with one of the riders to the nearest town. During
the ride she took stock. Her only possessions were the furs that she wore
and a sword. [1291] And she was a long, long way from home. Much too far
for her to cover the distance on foot. She really did need a horse, but
she didn't have any money with which to buy one, or supplies for that
matter. So she would need to find a way to earn some.
