"That's what the story says, anyway," the doctor went on. "Obviously that
part must be myth rather than genuine history, and she must have died in
some other way, but coming from that far back it's hardly surprising."
If I never returned from the dragon's lair I suppose that everyone would have assumed that he must have eaten me, Exotica thought. Then she said: "Why would you think that part about the dragon must be myth? Don't you believe in dragons?" "No. You're not seriously trying to tell me that you do, are you?" Exotica decided that it might be prudent to answer that question in the negative. "No, of course not," she said. Deciding to change the subject, she went on: "Do you think that you could provide me with some clothes?" "Of course. I had some brought here for you, but my skills don't include dressing unconscious women, so I thought it had better wait till you came round. Here you are, a one size fits all - or almost all - jumpsuit, with panties and a bra to go underneath it." He held out three garments. The biggest was similar to what she had seen the crew on the bridge wearing (the doctor himself was attired differently). It seemed strange to her for three reasons: its bright blue colour (the dyes back home could never produce such a pure or vivid blue), the material of which it was made, and the design of the garment itself. "I'm not sure that I know how to put this jumpsuit thing on," she confessed. "I've only ever worn gowns, and even then I had a maid to help me dress. And what's this funny thing for?" She held up the bra.
