The Spider Thing

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 51420

The spider creature had fully emerged from the topmost troll's mouth now. A relatively small but evil-looking body was perched on legs that were five feet long. Eritrea wasn't altogether sure whether it was a living creature or some strange sort of automaton; the slime that coated it suggested the former, but the metallic sound that its legs had made when they touched the floor hinted at the latter. The creature's most noticeable feature was its two multi-faceted eyes, which she saw were fixed on Velus and herself and which glowed orange with some inner light.

"Keep back!" she warned again, but Velus took no notice. Shouting "Aie- e-e!" he charged the thing, his sword in his hand.

  1. The thing makes short work of Velus.
  2. The thing is less fearsome than it appears, and Velus makes short work of it.
  3. Just then a voice comes from behind Eritrea and Velus, saying: "Hold!" It's the dragoness.
