"Folk living underground who are skilled metalworkers," Fred said. "These can only be dwarves, surely?" "Correct, sir knight. Perhaps you are more intelligent than you seem." "But why should these dwarves agree to aid us, if they are on friendly terms with Minestus, albeit not formally allied with him?" Andromeda asked. "They have not been worried by the increasing raids that Minestus has been mounting on the kingdoms of men. What are men to them? But when they learn that Minestus and N'Zauurshau intend to conquer the whole world, that should put a different complexion on matters. For that would include themselves, of course." "But will they believe our story?" Fred asked. "They probably wouldn't believe me, nor even you. But Andromeda's gills will show them that she is an Atlan, and that should lend credence to her tale. So I think that she will be believed." So, with Belboz leading the way, they headed for the area of the caves that was the dwarves' territory.
