The Never Ending Quest - Episode 5071

For some ungodly reason, you have decided to jump off the edge of the platform, dragging the Troll after you and hurtling downward a hundred feet through empty space. You are beginning to question the wisdom of your action, considering how disgraceful it is for a true warrior such as yourself to meet his end in this way, when you plummet down past the floor of the tunnel on which you were standing before your ascent, and landing after what seems to be another hundred feet or so on a giant cushion, completely breaking your fall but knocking the wind right out of your lungs so that it takes you several minutes to fully recover. After you are able to think clearly, you wonder whether or not the gods decided to bestow mercy upon you despite your stupidity, but then you come to realize that the cushion was obviously placed here for the safety of those who might accidentally fall off the elevator. You look around and find yourself in a large, circular, torchlit chamber. You see a passage leading off into darkness on the opposite side of the room and you also notice a red button on the wall near the spot where you landed. For now you are alive but you and the Troll have been separated from Belboz.
