The statues were of wildly varying sizes, from life-size downwards. Since Fred was the only one with a pack, he stowed away three of them, one each. They selected three that were only about six inches high, so that there was enough room in Fred's pack for them. They seemed to be made of solid gold, and would be worth a small fortune.

Exotica found a chest that was full of fine items of gold and silver jewellery. Since there was no more room in Fred's pack, the naked princess put a matching pair of gold bracelets around her wrists and a matching pair of gold anklets around her ankles.

  1. They went on their way.
  2. It is unwise to rob the dead, for you may trigger a curse. The bracelets shrank a little, so that they could no longer be removed, and a strong gold chain materialised joining them. The same happened with the anklets.
