Officer Green Greenly sighed. He wasn't even really an officer. It was
just a 'name' plopped onto him by the pointy-haired idiots in charge of
this dump. Green hated this job. He wanted to be a cop. He knew he had failed the entrance requirement due to a bad back but sometimes, it just seemed like the stupid name his parents had saddled him with had caused his misfortune. He would legally change it but two things stopped him. His girlfriend, who thought the name was 'cool' and the bylaws in the administration office. (Sometimes there was nothing else to read on late shifts). A legal change of name would mean Green wouldn't get his paycheck for seven weeks. Such was life. Green let the local shrink in. There was much paperwork signage and opening and closing doors. ... There was something not quite right about her. He knew the lady was visiting the new prisoner...Green had seen the new prisoner for a few moments ... this was all so confusing. Green shook his head. He knew something was terribly wrong and all the instincts he ha developed from years of research were clanging... Just what was wrong with the police shrink?
