Josh awakens on a small bed in a small room. Sun pours through the blinds, lighting up a dingy, green closet door. Beside him, on a small round bedtable is a red envelope. On the front, in blue marker are the words 'Please Read'. Josh does so. "Dear stranger. You may or may not realize this, but you've literally tumbled out of thin air into the Boulder Free Zone. We are one of the last bastions of civilization left in the United States, due to a superflu that has killed most of humanity. You have been asleep, as of this writing, for twelve hours. Outside the door is a hotel lobby, where several volunteers are waiting for you to awake, not to mention cleaning up the place. Any banging noises you might hear are harmless. Feel free to ask for a shower, food or anything else you might need. This city is full to the brim with stuff for the taking.
