From the diary of Lord Frederigo D'Honaire
My memory of the moments that followed is muddled and yet vivid, like that of a nightmare. I heard someone pursuing me, and I ran from them, yet I did not feel fear. Instead, I felt a strange exhileration. I do not think of who is pursuing me or why, but simply take joy in the wind against my skin. I feel very hot and damp now now, as if I had a fever, but it is not uncomfortable or painful. For a moment, I feel a burning pain in my veins, and then the heat turns to coolness, though I still feel the heat in my chest. At that moment, a human body tackles me from behind.
