Fred reappears. A helpful magician, the kind that hide out in enemy territory and don't really do much (except in this case) had diagnosed Fred with terminal insanity. But there was a 'cure'. Lifted directly from a popular playwright's ideas, the magician had managed to dose Fred into believing he was a heroic knight.

  1. This worked out.
  2. This didn't work out. Fred comes to believe he is nightime and he casts darkness over all.
  3. Fred is impaled by a booby trap. "Booby." he giggles, then dies. It's (sort of) okay, he felt no pain. Mainly because he was nuts.
