Damn! Astrid thought. Why didn't it work? Were Velus and the
midget both lying to me? Or was Belboz's spell simply too powerful for the
portal to undo? But why has it teleported me somewhere else? It's lucky
that I brought Astra's lamp with me. I'd hoped the portal just might be
powerful enough to restore her too. At least in coming here, I've got rid
of those two annoying would-be suitors. But Velus has still got my shield,
which is a pity. I might have need of it. I suppose it could be worse. At
least I still have the sword. And I didn't get transformed into something
even more embarrassing. But where the Hell am I? Perhaps Astra will
know.
