Entering the Temple

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 4882

As far as Astra could tell from her skiff, the place was deserted, so she decided to come ashore and explore. Who could have built such an impressive place? The dragon? Or whoever had occupied the caves before his time? She had never heard that dragons had any religious beliefs, so the latter seemed more likely.

She found an open gate in the outer wall, and went through it to find herself in a large courtyard. Opposite her was an immense door that led into the temple itself. Since the door was conveniently open as well, she went through it. Inside:

  1. The temple was lit by torches attached high on the walls. Perhaps the place was not as deserted as it seemed, for someone must replenish them from time to time.
  2. The temple was very dimly lit by the light coming through its stained glass windows.
  3. The temple was in total darkness, except for the light coming in through the door she had entered by.
