Josh instantly dies of old age, being one thousand years old. In some far
off boardroom, Horace is giving a report. "Look, I don't know. They are
supposed to be Immortal. We all are, while we are here. After a sort,
anyway." This wouldnt be a creepy situation, except every person in the room is a skeleton. Including Horace. In fact, he isn't even talking. Nope. Creepy, eh? Actually, in this version of the future, the Chaos inherent in the Staircase Room goes haywire, and basically short-circuits the tower, turning everyone in it mortal. They all revert to their ages that they should be, and everyone turns to dusty skeletons. It would make more sense for most of them to be dust, but... dusty skeletons. There you have it. So, yeah, there is no story to focus on. If you want a story, you have to leave tower realities and go back to the Real world, where Sally is working part-time at a Target. No, really, that's it. It's the future, but yeah there is still Target. Cars run on small fusion reactors, which is cool, and crime is nill because the cops can read intentions now, and there are machines that tell if you are telling the truth (admissible in court). Sally is getting off her shift, and going out to her car. Do we do this? Do we introduce a new main character ,completely outside our normal storylines? Well?
